Overcoming Challenges in Nursing School: Finding Strength in Faith

Being a nursing student at BHCLR for a little over a year now, I have overcome some intense battles. I have more determination now to succeed than I ever have before, but I have never been more aware of my weaknesses. I regularly cry out “God, I don’t know if I can do this!”
Human inadequacy has never been an issue for Jesus. In fact, it was the ones that were weak or flawed that He often hand-picked for great purposes. He specializes in doing the impossible for those He loves, for anyone who calls upon His name.
I have no unique talents or exceptional abilities that have brought me this far, but I have Christ in me. As I abide in Him, He teaches me more about His love and His ways. There is no kinder human being that has ever walked this earth than Jesus, and He is the reason I want to do my best. He is my God that has carried me through this last year. I can’t wait to be a nurse and meet my patient’s needs, just as the Lord has so faithfully met my needs through nursing school.
