You can visit fafsa.gov to apply for federal financial aid.
The federal school code for Baptist Health is 031052.
You should submit your financial aid application as early as possible, or at least 60 days before your program begins.
Normally about four to six weeks prior to the start of the term in which you are entering. You should apply as early as possible. Some program funds are limited and awarded on a “first come first served” basis.
You will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR) and BHCLR will receive an Institutional Student Information Record (ISIR) from the Department of Education. These are documents that summarize the information you entered on your FAFSA. They will include your Student Aid Index (SAI) and comments from the Department of Education that will allow us to determine your eligibility for federal student aid.
Financial Aid processing begins after acceptance into your program of choice. Please be sure to check your email and NetPartner and complete and return any paperwork sent to you by the Financial Aid Office and/or Admissions.
Be sure to apply for grants/scholarships through the state at sams.adhe.edu and watch your email for information on BHCLR Foundation Scholarships and other opportunities that may be available to you.
An award letter will be emailed to you. Gift aid (grants, scholarships) are awarded in accepted status. Loans that have to be repaid are awarded in pending status and you are required to log into your NetPartner account to accept those funds if you choose to do so.
If you are a PCT (Patient Care Technician) student or have trouble logging into your NetPartner account, you must visit the Financial Aid Office to sign a copy of the award letter.

PELL, along with all other financial aid, will be disbursed from the Financial Aid Office after the 11th day of class (census day). Please see the list of important dates on the Financial Aid Overview page.
Please note there is a difference in disbursement and refund. Funds are disbursed from the Financial Aid Office to the Business Office and applied to the balance due on the student’s account. If there are funds remaining once all financial aid has been applied to the balance due, the Business Office will then issue refund (excess aid) checks/direct deposits 2 to 3 days after the Financial Aid Office has disbursed all of the financial aid.

If there are funds remaining once all financial aid has been applied to the balance due, the Business Office will issue a refund (excess aid) check/direct deposit 2 to 3 days after the Financial Aid Office has disbursed all of the financial aid. If there are not excess funds remaining after financial aid has been disbursed, the student will be responsible for paying the outstanding balance due.

Per federal regulations, students who receive federal student aid (PELL grant, Direct Loans, FSEOG), must earn the aid they receive by completing 60% of the semester.
If the student withdraws prior to completing 60% of the term, the Financial Aid Office will be required to complete a Return of Title IV funds (R2T4), and the student will have to repay the percentage of unearned aid that is returned to the Department of Education.
