Dr. Gina Qualls Receives DAISY Award by the Arkansas Nurses Association

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Baptist Health College Little Rock faculty member Dr. Gina Qualls, PhD, MSN, RN, practical nursing semester one and two course leader, received the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty awarded by the Arkansas Nurses Association (ARNA). Dr. Qualls was celebrated at the annual ARNA Nurse Recognition Gala on Nov. 4. 

The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing Faculty was established to honor nursing faculty who inspire their students to remember that nursing is more than tasks and technology. Awarded faculty ensure the art and science of nursing is brought to every patient experience. This recognition honors faculty for their commitment and influence on their students.  

“Dr. Qualls is a wonderful faculty member and is committed and loyal to the School of Practical Nursing. She is an excellent role model and is loved by her students,” said Laura Hamiliton, MNSc, RN and dean of nursing. “She cares deeply about their success in the PN program and goes above and beyond to ensure they succeed by having study sessions in the evenings and on the weekends. She exemplifies the Baptist Health values and is a tremendous asset to our school.”
