Meet, Bo!
Courageous. Compassionate. Leader.
At Baptist Health College Little Rock, we want our graduates to enter the workplace with these qualities and no one represents them better than our official mascot, Bo the Lion.
Bo isn’t just a symbol. He’s a spirited reminder of our students and the strength and resilience they have as they pursue their education in health care. Whether he’s welcoming new students, cheering on graduates or spreading spirit across campus, Bo is here to inspire and uplift.
Why a Lion?
The lion is a symbol of strength and leadership. Just like our students, Bo leads with heart, serves with purpose and stands tall in the face of a challenge. Bo’s name comes from the Bible story of Ruth. In the Bible, Boaz had a heart that was like that of a lion- strong, protective, and full of integrity. He was also a leader, just like our students as they enter the workforce and change it for the better. Like Jesus, the ultimate selfless leader, Boaz led with compassion, confidence and strength. Bo the lion represents the courageousness of our students as they take steps to pursue their dreams.
