Baptist Health College Little Rock Traditional and Practical Nursing Graduates Achieve Outstanding Board Pass Rates

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Baptist Health College Little Rock (BHCLR) School of Nursing and School of Practical Nursing graduates passed their national certification exam administered by the National Council State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) with excellent board pass rates. The traditional nursing students achieved 95.8% and the practical nursing graduates achieved a 96.08% pass rate.

The graduating class of 143 traditional nursing graduates, comprised of Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 graduates, took the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). 137 practical nursing students, also comprised of Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 graduates, took the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN).

The NCLEX is required for all registered nurses (RNs) and practical nurses (LPNs) across the U.S. to obtain a license to practice. The examination ensures that nurses enter the field competently so they can safely and adequately serve and treat patients.

Dr. Crystal Rose, Ph.D, MHA, RN, NR-EMT, CNE, dean of nursing, is proud of the graduate’s hard work and dedication to becoming leaders in health care.

“Our nursing graduates continue to show their commitment to caring for patients,” Rose said. “Their success on the examination is a direct reflection of the time and effort they’ve invested in their education and training. We are proud of each of them as they successfully passed this step and started their careers in nursing.”

Dr. Karen James, PhD, OTR/L, CAPS, CLA, interim president, is excited to see BHCLR nursing graduates excel in their field.

“This achievement highlights the excellence of our faculty and the dedication of our students,” she said. “BHCLR continues to prepare future health care professionals who not only meet national standards, but exceed expectations. We are proud to celebrate this milestone with our graduates.”
