Baptist Health College Little Rock Surgical Technology Fall Graduates Maintains Excellence with 100% Board Pass Rate
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Baptist Health College Little Rock (BHCLR) School of Surgical Technology fall graduates passed their national certification exam administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) with a 100% pass rate. The graduating class of 11 students became Certified Surgical Technologists (CST).
The NBSTSA certification examination ensures surgical technologists meet the needed knowledge that underlies surgical technology practice. Certification is voluntary, but the choice to become certified showcases BHCLR’s commitment to producing leaders in health care. Becoming a certified surgical technologist exhibits pride in the field, mastery of principles and the commitment to providing quality patient care.
Angee Bowie, AAS, CST, School of Surgical Technology associate dean and program director, is proud of her students and the contribution they will make in the health care field.
“At BHCLR, we set a high bar for excellence because we know what is at stake in the operating room,” Bowie said. “Achieving a perfect board pass rate proves that our graduates are fully equipped to provide safe, high-quality care from day one. We are proud to contribute a highly skilled cohort of professionals to Arkansas’ health care frontline.”
