Finding Joy in Challenges: Lesson’s from BHCLR’s Radiography Program

The past couple of months in BHCLR’s radiography program have been amazing and full of a variety of new experiences. Sometimes, it can be easy to let one bad experience put a dampener on the day or maybe even ruin it entirely. When I am quick to complain, or quick to see the worst in a situation that is not going how I would like, I am quickly reminded of God’s goodness and steadfast love. One verse that comes to mind is Philippians 4:8, and it says “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable– if anything is excellent or praiseworthy– think about such things.”
Even in a situation that seems to invite only complaints and negative feelings, I know that I have so much to be thankful for simply because I have Jesus as my Savior. I know I can always find peace in knowing that Jesus is more than enough for me and that He has promised to always be with me. He is the only true source of lasting joy– the type of joy that can turn any bad day into a good one. To me, that is the most lovely and excellent thing to think about.
