School of Surgical Technology
Starting in July 2021, the BHCLR – School of Surgical Technology will fully transition to an
associate degree program. With the transition, the program will offer a new option to help
students complete needed general education.
Students with at least two of the seven required courses may apply to the three semester
program as a General Education Prep student – one semester of general education and two
semesters of Surgical Technology professional curriculum.
Thanks to a new partnership with Geneva College-Portage division, General Education Prep
students are eligible to apply for financial aid to help pay for the costs of the required general
education.
Students who have successfully completed all seven required courses may apply directly to the
two semester professional curriculum.
